Laser Applications

Laser Applications

Laser is a non-ionizing light and doesn't accumulate in tissue. Therefore, unlike x-rays, it doesn't cause harm. It's important to use the appropriate laser wavelength and dose. It can be used on everyone, including pregnant women, children, and those with heart disease.

Dental implant treatment, decay removal, dental fillings, root canal treatment, root apical drainage, all types of gum and jaw surgery, cosmetic dental treatments, and gum shaping can all be performed with laser applications. Additionally, lasers can also whiten teeth, alleviate sensitivity in sensitive teeth, and treat canker sores and cold sores.

In laser technology treatment applications, the necessary surgical procedure becomes simpler and can be performed in a short time.

Laser light is used in various stages of surgical procedures. Laser-assisted surgical procedures allow bone removal procedures, such as those required for wisdom tooth extractions, and various bone shaping procedures, to be performed without damaging surrounding tissues.

After surgical intervention, the patient can easily continue his/her daily life and does not experience any difficulties such as difficulty in speaking or eating.

Laser dental treatment provides significant convenience in the treatment of patients of all ages, especially children and those with a fear of dentists.

Laser dental treatment may be preferred for pregnant women and individuals with serious systemic conditions such as heart disease. This allows patients to feel more comfortable.

All abnormal soft tissue lesions in the mouth are surgically treated without the use of local anesthesia and without the need for stitches.

Areas Where Laser Applications Are Frequently Used

• To achieve pink aesthetics in aesthetic dentistry (creating the right level and symmetrical gums),
• In aesthetic dentistry, teeth whitening (bleaching) procedures performed with laser do not cause sensitivity or damage as they can be applied without creating heat on the teeth.
• To perform bone abrasion during impacted tooth extraction (pain and edema after extractions performed in this way are reduced by one fifth)
• To complete the treatment of gum diseases without the need for surgical procedures,
• For quick relief from jaw locking and joint problems due to muscle spasm with low-level energy laser (DSLT -LLLT) applications,
• To make the recovery period after surgical procedures shorter and more comfortable with LLLT application, to heal gum pockets quickly after Deep Gum Cleaning (curettage),
• To eliminate tooth sensitivity caused by gum recession by closing the dentin channels with laser,
• To get good results in teeth whitening processes with laser in a short time,
• To accelerate the healing process of aphtha and cold sores with laser,
